Description

These cake mix cookies are a quick, foolproof treat made with just three ingredients. They’re soft, chewy, customizable, and ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor)

  • ½ cup vegetable oil (or 7 tbsp melted butter)

  • 2 large eggs
Optional: 1 cup mix-ins like chocolate chips, M&Ms, chopped nuts, or sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, mix cake mix, oil, and eggs until dough forms.

  • Fold in optional mix-ins if using.

  • Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.

  • Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set.

  • Cool on baking sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chill dough for 15–20 minutes if too sticky.
  • Store in an airtight container for 3 days or freeze up to 3 months.
  • Don’t overbake—cookies should be soft in the center.
