Description

This Baked Crunchy Hot Honey Chicken is crispy, flavorful, and drizzled with a homemade sweet and spicy hot honey glaze. It’s easy to make, baked instead of fried, and perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs chicken breast tenderloins
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Hot Honey Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Crush cornflakes and mix with Parmesan, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk eggs with hot sauce.
  • Dip each chicken tender in the egg mixture, then coat in the cornflake mixture. Repeat for extra crispiness.
  • Place on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a saucepan, warm honey with hot sauce, cayenne, chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt. Stir until well combined.
  • Drizzle hot honey over the crispy chicken and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use an air fryer at 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
  • Adjust spice levels by increasing or decreasing the cayenne and hot sauce.
  • Serve with rice, coleslaw, or sweet potato fries.
