Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. instant espresso powder
  • 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder (+ more for dusting)
  • 8 oz. mascarpone, softened
  • 6 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Ladyfingers (or other dippable items like shortbread, fruit, or pound cake)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk heavy cream, espresso powder, and cocoa powder until smooth. Set aside.
  • In a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, beat mascarpone, cream cheese, and confectioners’ sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cream mixture, vanilla, and salt to the mascarpone mixture and beat until fluffy.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, dust with cocoa powder, and serve with your favorite dippable items.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the amount of espresso powder.
  • To make it ahead, store the dip in the fridge for up to 24 hours, stirring before serving.
