Ingredients
- Butter – 1 tbsp unsalted
- Onion – ½ medium, diced
- Biscuit Dough – 10 oz, cut into 2-inch pieces
- Heavy Cream or Milk – ½ cup
- Eggs – 5 large
- Seasonings – 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp garlic powder
- Cheddar Cheese – 1½ cups, shredded
- Breakfast Sausage – 1 lb (patties, links, or ground)
- Country Gravy – 1½ cups prepared (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9” x 13” baking dish.
- Layer biscuit dough at the bottom of the dish.
- Cook sausage & onions in a skillet, then spread over biscuits.
- Whisk eggs, cream, and seasonings, then pour over the sausage mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
- Prepare and pour gravy over the casserole.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until biscuits are golden and eggs are set.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with extra gravy if desired.
