Description

A vegetarian twist on the classic appetizer, Carrot Pigs in a Blanket features roasted carrots wrapped in golden pizza dough, topped with sesame seeds, and served with green goddess dressing. Perfect for parties, brunch, or casual snacking.

  • 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green goddess dressing (store-bought or homemade, for dipping)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Toss carrots with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional cumin.
  • Divide pizza dough into 40 pieces and roll into ¼-inch strips. Wrap each carrot piece in dough.
  • Place wrapped carrots on the baking sheets, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and carrots are tender.
  • Let cool for 5–10 minutes and serve warm with green goddess dressing.
