Description
A savory, make-ahead breakfast casserole layered with turkey or chicken sausage, beef or turkey bacon, cheese, eggs, and bread. Ideal for brunches or busy mornings.
Ingredients

1 lb turkey or chicken sausage

6 slices beef or turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled

8 large eggs

2½ cups whole or 2% milk

1 tsp ground mustard

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

6 cups cubed challah, brioche, or sturdy white bread

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Butter or oil for greasing

Optional: 1 cup spinach or sautéed veggies
Instructions

Brown sausage and cook bacon. Set aside.

Grease a 9×13″ baking dish.

Layer bread, sausage, bacon, and cheese.

Whisk eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper.

Pour egg mixture over layers. Press down gently.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Let sit 30 mins at room temp before baking.

Bake at 350°F covered for 40 mins, then uncovered for 20–25 mins.

Let rest 5–10 mins before serving.
