Description

This cheesy ground beef pasta skillet is a quick, easy, and flavorful one-pan meal perfect for busy weeknights. Loaded with ground beef, pasta, and gooey melted cheese, it’s a comforting dish that the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups ziti or penne pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  • Cook pasta one minute less than package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, cook for 2 minutes, and break it apart.
  • Stir in garlic, onions, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste, stirring well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour in reserved pasta water, then add cooked pasta and mix.
  • Stir in 1 cup of mozzarella cheese until melted.
  • Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of cheese on top, cover, and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Use whole wheat pasta for extra fiber.
  • Add bell peppers or mushrooms for more veggies.
