These Chocolate Cornflake Cakes are the perfect quick, no-bake dessert that comes together in just 10 minutes. Made with four simple ingredients—cornflakes, chocolate, butter, and golden syrup—this crunchy, chocolate-coated treat is great for parties, lunchboxes, or festive occasions. Decorate with sprinkles or mini eggs for a fun twist!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups (125g) cornflakes
  • 7 ounces (200g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips/chunks
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup (or honey/light corn syrup)
  • Sprinkles or mini eggs (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  • Melt chocolate, butter, and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl over a simmering pot of water (double boiler method). Stir until smooth.
  • Let the mixture cool for 1-2 minutes.
  • Place cornflakes in a large bowl, then pour the melted chocolate over them.
  • Gently stir to coat the cornflakes evenly.
  • Spoon the mixture into muffin liners placed in a muffin tin.
  • Decorate with sprinkles or mini eggs, if desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  • Enjoy! Serve at room temperature for the best texture.
