  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt into a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing; it’s okay if there are small lumps.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  • Pour ¼ cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
