For the Crust:

  • 14.3 oz. package of Oreos (or gluten-free alternative)
  • ½ cup butter, melted

For the Ganache:

  • 12 oz. quality dark chocolate
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. sea salt
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

For the Chocolate-Covered Strawberries:

  • 6 oz. quality dark chocolate
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, washed and dried

For the Whipped Cream (Optional):

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Crush Oreos with melted butter in a food processor. Press into a 10-inch tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes; cool completely.
  2. Heat heavy cream in the microwave, then stir in chocolate until smooth. Add vanilla, sea salt, and beaten eggs. Mix thoroughly and pour into the crust.
  3. Bake the tart for 35 minutes, allowing the center to remain slightly jiggly. Cool for 15 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate.
  4. Melt dark chocolate for strawberries. Dip the flat side of each strawberry into the chocolate and arrange on top of the cooled tart.
  5. Drizzle remaining chocolate over the tart. Cool at room temperature or refrigerate. Optional: Serve with whipped cream.
