For the Crust:
- 14.3 oz. package of Oreos (or gluten-free alternative)
- ½ cup butter, melted
For the Ganache:
- 12 oz. quality dark chocolate
- ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. sea salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
For the Chocolate-Covered Strawberries:
- 6 oz. quality dark chocolate
- 1 quart fresh strawberries, washed and dried
For the Whipped Cream (Optional):
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Crush Oreos with melted butter in a food processor. Press into a 10-inch tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes; cool completely.
- Heat heavy cream in the microwave, then stir in chocolate until smooth. Add vanilla, sea salt, and beaten eggs. Mix thoroughly and pour into the crust.
- Bake the tart for 35 minutes, allowing the center to remain slightly jiggly. Cool for 15 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate.
- Melt dark chocolate for strawberries. Dip the flat side of each strawberry into the chocolate and arrange on top of the cooled tart.
- Drizzle remaining chocolate over the tart. Cool at room temperature or refrigerate. Optional: Serve with whipped cream.
