Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or vegetable oil
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust spice level)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a greased wire rack on top.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of crushed cornflakes, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in eggs, and press into the cornflake mixture until fully coated.
- Arrange the chicken on the wire rack, ensuring space between each piece. Lightly spray with oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy and golden brown, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Meanwhile, mix honey, hot sauce, melted butter, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl to create the hot honey glaze.
- Once the chicken is done, immediately brush the glaze over the hot crispy chicken.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- To keep the coating extra crispy, always use a wire rack while baking.
- Adjust the glaze to your spice preference by adding more or less hot sauce.
- Works great with chicken tenders or wings—just adjust the cooking time accordingly!
