Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Blue Cheese

Description

These crispy Brussels sprouts are roasted to perfection and topped with smoky bacon and tangy blue cheese. The perfect snack or appetizer for game day!


Ingredients

  • ½ lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed & halved
  • ½ tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil)
  • ⅓ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 slices turkey or beef bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Toss Brussels sprouts with oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Arrange cut-side down on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes.
  • Flip sprouts over, add blue cheese and bacon on top.
  • Return to the oven and roast for another 10-12 minutes until bacon is crispy.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use a wire rack on your baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze for added flavor.
  • Swap blue cheese for feta or Parmesan if preferred.
