Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen pierogies (cheddar or cheddar-bacon)
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the sliced kielbasa.
  • Add chicken broth to the slow cooker, then layer frozen pierogies and kielbasa.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • 30 minutes before serving, melt cream cheese with 1 cup of chicken broth and whisk until smooth.
  • Stir the mixture into the slow cooker and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  • Cover and cook for 30 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a crispier texture, broil the dish for 3-5 minutes after slow cooking.
  • Swap kielbasa with turkey sausage for a leaner option.
