Description

These Easter Blossom Cookies are a fun and festive treat with a soft sugar cookie base, rolled in colorful sanding sugar and topped with a Hershey’s Kiss. Perfect for Easter celebrations, spring parties, and homemade gift-giving.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • Colored sanding sugar (pastel colors)
  • 32 Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Mix in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, then add milk to soften the dough.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls, coat in colored sanding sugar, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until cookies are set but not browned.
  • Let cookies cool for 2 minutes, then press a Hershey’s Kiss into each.
  • Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Refrigerate dough for 20 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.
  • Use different Hershey’s Kiss flavors for variety.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
