Ingredients

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup buttermilk (or almond milk)
  • 1 large egg (or flax egg for vegan)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  • Pipe or spoon batter into donut molds or directly onto parchment paper.
  • Air fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly, then coat with cinnamon sugar or dip in glaze.
