Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups water or beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Add onion and cook until softened. Drain excess grease.
  • Mix all ingredients (except cheese) in a large bowl, then transfer to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until melted.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey for a leaner option.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, or peas for extra nutrition.
  • Use brown rice instead of white, but increase baking time by 15-20 minutes and add more liquid.
