Quick, soft, and gooey cinnamon rolls made from scratch in just 60 minutes. No overnight rise required—perfect for breakfast or dessert anytime.
Ingredients

1 cup warm milk (100–110°F)

2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast

⅓ cup granulated sugar

4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

½ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour

Filling:
-
⅓ cup softened butter
-
½ cup brown sugar
-
¼ cup granulated sugar
-
1 tbsp cinnamon
-
1 tsp vanilla extract

Frosting:
-
4 oz cream cheese
-
2 tbsp butter
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract

1–2 tbsp milk

Instructions

Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar; let sit 10 mins.

Add butter, egg, salt, vanilla, and flour. Mix until dough forms.

Knead dough for 3–5 mins and let rise 10 mins.

Roll dough into rectangle; spread filling.

Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls.

Place in greased pan and bake at 350°F for 25–30 mins.

Mix frosting ingredients and spread over cooled rolls.
Notes
- Use warm milk (not hot) to activate yeast.
- Don’t skip cooling rolls slightly before frosting.
- Freeze after baking or before for easy make-ahead.
