These Easy Salmon Patties are a quick, budget-friendly, and nutritious meal made with canned salmon, spinach, and hash browns. Perfect for busy weeknights, these crispy, golden patties are gluten-free, protein-packed, and absolutely delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 15 oz canned salmon (well-drained, flaked)
- 5 oz frozen spinach (thawed, water squeezed out)
- 3 cups frozen hash browns (thawed)
- 4 eggs (beaten)
- 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt (use less if hash browns are pre-seasoned)
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Olive oil (or other cooking oil) for frying
Instructions
- Thaw spinach and hash browns completely. Drain the canned salmon and flake with a fork. Squeeze excess water from the spinach.
- In a large bowl, combine salmon, spinach, hash browns, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-combined.
- Shape the mixture into palm-sized patties (about 8 patties).
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces or on a salad.
Notes
- Make sure to squeeze all the excess water from the spinach for the best texture.
- To make the patties extra crispy, add a little more oil while frying.
- You can bake the patties at 400°F for 15 minutes as a healthier alternative.
