- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ cup water
- 1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tsp water)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Coat chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Pan-fry in vegetable oil until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove chicken and make the sauce in the same pan.
- Thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry, then return chicken to glaze.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.
