Description

For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 box brownie mix (standard size)

  • 1 large egg

  • 5½ tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • ¼ cup milk

For the French Silk Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, cubed

  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

For the Topping:

  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

  • Chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 11×7-inch glass baking dish.

  • Make brownie base by mixing brownie mix, egg, melted butter, and milk. Spread in pan and bake for 25–28 minutes. Let cool completely.

  • Prepare French silk layer by beating cream cheese and vanilla, adding powdered sugar, then mixing in cooled melted chocolate and butter. Fold in Cool Whip.

  • Assemble by spreading the French silk layer on the cooled brownies. Top with more Cool Whip.

  • Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
