8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled

1/4 cup butter, softened

8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

8 oz Cool Whip (or homemade whipped cream)

Instructions

Preheat oven to package temperature and grease a 9×9 baking dish.

Mix brownie mix, egg, melted butter, and milk until smooth. Pour into dish and bake. Let cool completely.

Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, then mix in cooled chocolate and softened butter. Fold in Cool Whip.

Spread French silk layer over cooled brownies.

Top with additional Cool Whip and garnish if desired.

Chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Slice and serve cold.
