French Silk Brownies

Description

A rich, layered brownie dessert with a fudgy base, a creamy French silk chocolate filling, and a fluffy whipped topping. Perfect for special occasions or whenever you’re craving something indulgent.


Ingredients

  • Brownie Base

    • 1 box brownie mix

    • 1 egg

    • 1/4 cup butter, melted

    • 1/4 cup milk

  • French Silk Layer

    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

    • 1 cup powdered sugar

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled

    • 1/4 cup butter, softened

    • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

  • Topping

    • 8 oz Cool Whip (or homemade whipped cream)

    • Optional: Chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to package temperature and grease a 9×9 baking dish.

  • Mix brownie mix, egg, melted butter, and milk until smooth. Pour into dish and bake. Let cool completely.

  • Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, then mix in cooled chocolate and softened butter. Fold in Cool Whip.

  • Spread French silk layer over cooled brownies.

  • Top with additional Cool Whip and garnish if desired.

  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Slice and serve cold.

Notes

  • Chill thoroughly to set the layers.
  • Use homemade whipped cream as an alternative to Cool Whip.
  • For clean slices, use a hot knife and wipe between cuts.
