Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box Funfetti cake mix (heat-treated)
- 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 (8-ounce) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- ¼ cup heavy cream (or milk, for thinning)
- ⅓ cup rainbow sprinkles (plus extra for garnish)
- (Optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Heat-treat the cake mix by microwaving it in 30-second intervals until it reaches 165°F or baking it at 350°F for 5 minutes. Let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the cooled cake mix to the cream cheese and mix until fully combined.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until the mixture is light and airy.
- Add heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
- Stir in rainbow sprinkles, being careful not to overmix.
- Chill for 30 minutes, then serve with your favorite dippers!
Notes
- Always heat-treat the cake mix to kill bacteria.
- Use full-fat cream cheese for a creamier texture.
- If the dip is too thick, add more heavy cream or milk to thin it out.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
