- 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
- Melt butter in a large pan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in the drained pasta and mix well with the garlic butter sauce.
- Add Parmesan cheese and gradually stir in reserved pasta water to create a silky sauce.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes.
- Whole wheat or gluten-free pasta can be used as a substitute.
