  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This luxurious, comforting dish features tender garlic butter steak bites served over creamy Parmesan-coated rigatoni. Perfect for special dinners or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Butter Steak:

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley (optional, for garnish)

For the Creamy Parmesan Rigatoni:

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  • Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak from skillet.
  • Make Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Return steak to skillet, toss to coat in garlic butter, then set aside.
  • Prepare the Parmesan Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute. Gradually pour in heavy cream, whisking constantly until it thickens. Add Parmesan, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Add pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  • Combine and Serve: Toss cooked rigatoni in the Parmesan sauce. Serve with garlic butter steak on top. Garnish with thyme or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add more heavy cream to the sauce.
  • For a spicier kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the steak before serving.
