Ingredients
Scale
For the Garlic Butter Steak:
-
1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley (optional, for garnish)
For the Creamy Parmesan Rigatoni:
-
12 oz rigatoni pasta
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
-
1 ½ cups heavy cream
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak from skillet.
- Make Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Return steak to skillet, toss to coat in garlic butter, then set aside.
- Prepare the Parmesan Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute. Gradually pour in heavy cream, whisking constantly until it thickens. Add Parmesan, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Add pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
- Combine and Serve: Toss cooked rigatoni in the Parmesan sauce. Serve with garlic butter steak on top. Garnish with thyme or parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, add more heavy cream to the sauce.
- For a spicier kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the steak before serving.
