Ingredients
For the Wontons
- Wonton Wrappers: 50–60 pieces (halal-certified)
- Ground Turkey: 200g
- Raw Shrimp: 200g, finely chopped
- Grated Ginger: 1 tablespoon
- Green Onions: 2, finely chopped
- Light Soy Sauce: 1 tablespoon (halal-certified)
- Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
- Toasted Sesame Oil: 2 tablespoons
For the Broth
- Halal Chicken Broth: 3 cups
- Garlic Cloves: 2, smashed
- Ginger Slice: 1-inch piece
- Light Soy Sauce: 1½ tablespoons
- Sugar: 2 teaspoons
- Sesame Oil: ¼–½ teaspoon
Optional Add-Ins
- Bok Choy or Other Greens: Blanched
- Egg Noodles: Cooked
- Shredded Green Onions: For garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: Mix ground turkey, shrimp, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and sesame oil in a bowl until evenly combined.
- Wrap the Wontons: Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten edges, fold into a triangle, and seal. Bring two corners together and seal again.
- Cook Wontons: Boil wontons in batches for about 4 minutes or until they float. Transfer to serving bowls.
- Prepare the Broth: Simmer chicken broth with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sugar for 5–10 minutes. Strain out garlic and ginger. Add sesame oil.
- Assemble the Soup: Add wontons, noodles, and greens to bowls. Pour broth over and garnish with green onions.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with optional soy sauce or chili oil.

- Freeze uncooked wontons on a baking sheet, then store in a freezer-safe bag.
- Add shiitake mushrooms or white pepper to the broth for deeper flavor.
