This hoisin beef noodles recipe is a savory-sweet, Asian-inspired stir-fry that’s perfect for weeknight dinners. Packed with tender beef, rice noodles, and crisp veggies, it’s a satisfying, customizable meal ready in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 500g beef sirloin or flank, thinly sliced

  • 400g rice or egg noodles

  • 4 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 carrot, julienned

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • Optional veggies: bok choy, mushrooms, baby corn, snow peas

  • Garnish: sesame seeds, cilantro, lime wedges, chili flakes, peanuts


Instructions

  • Cook noodles according to package, rinse in cold water, and set aside.

  • Mix hoisin, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Marinate beef for 15 mins.

  • Stir-fry veggies in oil for 3–4 mins. Remove from pan.

  • Cook beef over high heat until browned, 5–7 mins.

  • Add cooked noodles and veggies. Toss to combine with sesame oil.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds, herbs, and lime wedges. Serve hot.

  • Slice beef thinly for quick cooking.
  • Use gluten-free noodles and sauces for a gluten-free version.
  • Add chili flakes or sriracha for heat.
