Homemade Croissant Rolls

Description

These light and fluffy croissant rolls are buttery, golden, and incredibly easy to make! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a side for any meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g patent flour (or all-purpose flour)
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 15g granulated sugar
  • 7g salt
  • 35ml sunflower oil
  • 225ml lukewarm water
  • 40g unsalted butter (for spreading)
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  • Mix the Dough: Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add oil and water, then knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  • Roll & Cut: Divide into two parts, roll out, spread butter, and cut into triangles.
  • Shape & Proof: Roll into croissant shapes, place on a baking sheet, brush with egg, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake: Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F). Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  • Enjoy: Let cool slightly, then serve warm!

Notes

  • For extra flakiness, brush with melted butter after baking.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Pair with jam, cheese, or your favorite spread!
