Description

A simple and flavorful Lemon Butter Baked Cod recipe made with tender cod fillets, garlic, lemon, and butter. Perfect for a quick, healthy dinner!


Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz) cod fillets
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon slices for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and zest.
  • Pat the cod fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Place fillets in the baking dish and pour the lemon butter sauce evenly over them.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.

  • If using frozen cod, thaw completely and pat dry before baking.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the fish for 2 minutes after baking.
