- 4 (6 oz) cod fillets
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and zest.
- Pat the cod fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place fillets in the baking dish and pour the lemon butter sauce evenly over them.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.

- If using frozen cod, thaw completely and pat dry before baking.
- For extra crispiness, broil the fish for 2 minutes after baking.
