Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Zest from 2 lemons
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • A few drops of yellow food coloring (optional)
  • Extra powdered sugar or shredded coconut for coating

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate mixture: Heat the heavy cream until it simmers, then pour over white chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth.
  • Incorporate lemon flavor: Add lemon zest, lemon juice, and powdered sugar. Mix until thick and smooth. Add yellow food coloring if desired.
  • Chill the mixture: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  • Shape the truffles: Scoop out portions and roll into bite-sized balls. Coat with powdered sugar or shredded coconut.
  • Final chill and serve: Refrigerate for another 30 minutes before serving.
