Description

This Longhorn Parmesan Chicken is a crispy, juicy, and cheesy dish that’s easy to make at home. Breaded chicken breasts are pan-seared, then baked with a golden Parmesan-mozzarella topping. Perfect for a restaurant-style dinner in your own kitchen!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to ½-inch thickness)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Set up a dredging station: flour in one dish, whisked eggs & milk in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings in the last.
  • Coat each chicken breast: dip in flour, egg mixture, then breadcrumbs.
  • Sear chicken in olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to the baking dish.
  • Mix Parmesan, mozzarella, and garlic, then sprinkle over each piece of chicken.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for 2 minutes after baking.
  • Make it spicy by adding red pepper flakes.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for a lighter, crispier texture.
