Description

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the garlic for 30 seconds, then deglaze with chicken broth.
  • Lower the heat and add heavy cream, parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, thyme, paprika, and onion powder. Stir until smooth.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh parmesan for the best sauce consistency.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
