This Million Dollar Spaghetti is the ultimate baked pasta dish with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy cheese, and gooey melted mozzarella. It’s a cross between spaghetti and lasagna, making it the perfect comfort food for family dinners, meal prep, or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (24 oz) jars marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook spaghetti 2 minutes less than package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Prepare the meat sauce: Sauté onion, then brown ground beef. Add garlic, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  • Make the cheese mixture: Mix cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, Parmesan, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  • Assemble: Layer half of the spaghetti, spread the cheese mixture, add the remaining spaghetti, then top with meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Rest & Serve: Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta for a healthier version.
  • Swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra nutrients.
