Description

These Mini Lasagnas are a creative twist on the classic dish, baked in muffin tins for individual servings. Layers of savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella are held together by crispy wonton wrappers, making this a fun, easy, and mess-free way to enjoy lasagna. Perfect for dinner parties or meal prep!

  • 4 Italian sausages, casings removed
  • 1 tablespoon Italian herb seasoning
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara or tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  • Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onion for 4–5 minutes, add garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add sausage, breaking it apart, and cook until browned (4–5 minutes). Stir in marinara, Italian herbs, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low.
  • Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup. Add 1 tablespoon meat sauce, 2 teaspoons ricotta, and 1 teaspoon mozzarella. Repeat layers with another wonton wrapper, meat sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool for 3–5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Substitute ground beef or turkey for sausage if preferred.
  • Add sautéed veggies like mushrooms or spinach for a vegetarian option.
  • Assemble up to 2 days in advance and bake when ready.
