Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  • Cook linguine according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Add garlic to the beef and sauté until fragrant.
  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, and black pepper. Pour into the skillet.
  • Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the skillet. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Toss in the cooked noodles, mixing until coated.
  • Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level with more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Add vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
