Description

These soft, fluffy, and gooey cinnamon rolls come together in just one hour! Made with a quick-rise dough and topped with a creamy, sweet icing.


Ingredients

  • For the Dough: Warm milk, active dry yeast, granulated sugar, egg, egg yolk, melted butter, all-purpose flour, salt
  • For the Filling: Brown sugar, ground cinnamon, softened butter
  • For the Icing: Cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, milk

Instructions

  • Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar.
  • Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth. Let rise for 20 minutes.
  • Roll dough, spread butter, and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Roll into a log, slice into rolls, and let rise again.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare icing and spread over warm rolls.

Notes

  • Use softened, not melted, butter for the best filling texture.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before frosting to prevent melting.
  • For extra gooey rolls, pour heavy cream over them before baking.
