This Oreo Dirt Pie is a decadent, no-fail chocolate dessert made with a fudgy cake base, creamy chocolate pudding, whipped topping, and crunchy Oreos. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or any time you need an easy, crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

  • Cake Base: 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix (plus eggs, oil, and water)
  • Pudding Layers: 1¾ cups milk, 2 boxes dark chocolate instant pudding mix
  • Toppings: 1 package Oreo Double Stuf cookies (crushed), 1 container Cool Whip, 1 jar Hershey’s hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  • Bake the Cake: Prepare and bake chocolate cake according to box instructions in a 9×13-inch pan. Let cool slightly.
  • Poke & Pour: Poke holes into the cake and drizzle warmed hot fudge sauce over it.
  • Prepare Pudding: Whisk 1 box of pudding mix with milk and pour over the cake. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Mix & Layer: Mix the second box of pudding with Cool Whip and fold in crushed Oreos. Spread over the cake.
  • Top & Chill: Drizzle with more hot fudge and sprinkle extra Oreos on top. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Refrigerating overnight enhances the flavor and texture.
