Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes (fire-roasted preferred)

1/2 small white or sweet onion, chopped and soaked

2 garlic cloves

1–2 jalapeño peppers, seeded as desired

1/2 cup fresh cilantro

2 tbsp fresh lime juice

1/2 tsp salt

Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cumin or smoked paprika
Instructions

Soak chopped onion in cold water for 10 minutes.

Drain tomatoes (if using canned) and save liquid if needed.

Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender.

Pulse until desired consistency is reached.
