Description

A simple, rich, and creamy skillet fondue featuring sautéed mushrooms, melted Gouda cheese, and heavy cream. Perfect for dipping with bread or veggies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cremini mushrooms (cleaned and trimmed)
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1⅓ cups Gouda cheese (diced)
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Bread or veggies (for serving)v

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms with salt and pepper for 4–5 minutes until tender.
  • Deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine (or stock). Simmer until reduced.
  • Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add diced Gouda cheese and bake in the oven for 6–8 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve immediately with bread or your choice of dippers.

Notes

  • Substitute Gouda with Fontina or Gruyere for a different flavor.
