Description

This cheesy pierogi casserole is a no-fuss slow cooker meal featuring frozen pierogies, smoky kielbasa, and a creamy, rich cheese sauce. Perfect for weeknights!


Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen cheddar pierogies
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Pour chicken broth into the crockpot.
  2. Layer frozen pierogies and sliced kielbasa on top.
  3. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Mix softened cream cheese with ½ cup of broth and stir into the crockpot.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Cover and cook for another 30 minutes on low until cheese is fully melted.
  8. Garnish with green onions or parsley before serving.
