Description

This soft and chewy sugar cookie cake is a fun, festive, and easy-to-make dessert. Made with a sugar cookie mix, butter, egg, and M&Ms, it bakes into one giant cookie with crisp edges and a soft center. Perfect for birthdays, holidays, or a simple weeknight treat.

  • 1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup pastel M&Ms (or any seasonal M&Ms)

Optional Frosting:

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan or cast iron skillet.
  • In a large bowl, mix the sugar cookie mix, softened butter, and egg until combined. Fold in M&Ms.
  • Press the dough evenly into the greased pan. Add extra M&Ms on top for decoration.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. Let it cool completely before frosting.
  • For frosting (optional), beat butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pipe onto the edges of the cookie cake and top with sprinkles.
  • Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra chewiness, slightly underbake and let it cool in the pan.
  • Swap M&Ms for chocolate chips, sprinkles, or nuts.
  • Drizzle with melted white chocolate for added sweetness.
