Description
This bold and flavorful dish pairs sweet and spicy glazed chicken with ultra-creamy macaroni cheese. A comforting, crowd-pleasing dinner in just 40 minutes.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

½ cup honey
-
¼ cup soy sauce
-
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp ground black pepper
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
For the Macaroni Cheese:

8 oz macaroni pasta
-
2 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
-
2 cups milk
-
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil for 6–7 mins per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.

In the same skillet, add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, garlic and onion powder, cayenne. Simmer for 2–3 mins until thickened.

Return sliced chicken to skillet and coat in sauce.

Cook pasta until al dente, drain and set aside.

In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk. Cook until thickened, remove from heat and stir in cheeses.

Combine pasta and cheese sauce. Plate with chicken on top and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne for more or less heat.
- Substitute gluten-free pasta and flour to make it GF.
- Use dairy-free cheese and milk to make it dairy-free.
