Description

These Sweet Cream Cheese Wontons are crispy on the outside and filled with a smooth, sweetened cream cheese center. They’re quick and easy to make, perfect for frying, baking, or air frying. Serve them with sweet and sour sauce, honey, or chocolate for an irresistible treat!


Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying, if applicable)

Optional Filling Variations:

  • 2 tablespoons Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons fruit preserves (strawberry, raspberry, or apricot)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for extra warmth

For Serving:

  • Sweet and sour sauce
  • Chocolate or caramel sauce
  • Honey drizzle

Instructions

  • Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Lay a wonton wrapper flat and place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center.
  • Brush the edges with beaten egg, fold diagonally into a triangle, and press the edges to seal.
  • Choose your cooking method:

Frying: Heat oil to 350°F and fry wontons for 45-60 seconds until golden. Drain on paper towels.
Baking: Preheat oven to 375°F, place wontons on a baking sheet, spray with oil, and bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
Air Frying: Preheat air fryer to 370°F, lightly brush wontons with oil, and air fry for 7-8 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting.
