Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) package three-cheese tortellini pasta
  • ½ cup milk powder
  • ¼ cup dried minced onions
  • 2 teaspoons beef broth powder (or bouillon)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can peas (or vegetable of choice), undrained
  • 2 cans canned chicken
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix milk powder, dried onions, broth powder, and seasonings.
  • In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add tortellini, seasoning mix, peas (with liquid), and canned chicken. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and stir in cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve warm with fresh herbs or grated Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Swap chicken for shrimp or crispy bacon.
  • Use fresh tortellini for a quicker cooking time.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the chicken and add extra veggies.
